Bustin’ Out out February 2010!
The first in our series of New Wave to New Beat compilations 'Bustin' Out, The Post Punk Era 1979-1981', will be released on 15th of February. The music termed post punk is well represented in many of its diverse strains by some of its prime movers; encompassing anything from Tubeway Army's austere electronic pop on 'Replicas', through to 23 Skidoo’s atmospheric tribal boogie on ‘Gospel Comes to New Guinea’, every track charts a different musical seam, which invariably proved to be highly influential, from Killing Joke’s ‘Almost Red’, to Belgian new beat pioneers Front 242’s ‘Body to Body’ to Bill Laswell’s Bustin’ Out and Tuxedomoon’s gripping ‘Desire’ ………….

1959 British Hit Parade
The last year of the decade was a year in which the first Grammy Awards were held, music genres continued to diversify ever further thanks to the continuing evolution of rock n roll, rhythm n blues and soul, Elvis proved he was still the king with a string of hits, despite being consigned to barracks in West Germany, and arguably most notably and sadly of all, marked the death of Buddy Holly.

Yes, in our ongoing and extremely popular British Hit Parade series we have now reached 1959. Both Parts 1 and 2 of this era defining year will be released on 18th of January 2009.

This Record Is Not To Be Broadcast – Banned By The Beeb Volume 2
It has often been reported that a record has been banned by the BBC but it was not until the release of the groundbreaking set, This Record Is Not To Be Broadcast, in 2008 that actual proof was given! Going through old BBC files the 3 CD set bought to light for the first time not only what songs the BBC had banned by also why they had banned them.

After receiving much critical praise and media features we are to proud to present the second volume in the series.
